Physical Appearance: At eighteen years old and an unimpressive 5'2", Cassie's stature matches her timid personality. Her hair is cut short, although it's slightly longer in front, and is a vivid light purple color. She has delicately formed features that are often described as "cute", especially with that little nose (that turns upward ever so slightly at the end), that are set with a pair of pale blue eyes that sometimes appear lilac in certain lights. Her skin is quite pale despite how much time she spends outside, although she does keep most of her body covered with her attire, which is an odd blend of adorable, modest, and sexy. It consists of a black tank top under a long-sleeved shirt that hangs off of her shoulders, the body being white and the sleeves being a dark indigo, with a front pocket edged in pale blue; this shirt is long enough that it mostly covers her (admittedly short) green plaid skirt. This skirt reveals a few inches of pale thigh before the remainder of her legs are covered by a set of striped stockings in two shades of purple. Topping off the ensemble is a pair of plain white sneakers with black accents. She wears a golden oval locket around her neck which has a picture of her father, and a brown leather belt around her left thigh.

Skills: Cassie is a skilled singer, although usually too shy to sing where people can hear her. She can also ride a bike and rollerskate, preferring the latter to the former; she can often be seen skating around town, listening to music.

Personality: Shy and non-confrontational, Cassie doesn't often speak to others, and perpetually keeps a lollipop in her mouth to use as an excuse to avoid conversation. She likes to read and keep to herself and doesn't have any true friends. She's fascinated by Pokemon and likes to learn as much about them as she can, which is a large part of what drove her to become a Pokemon trainer. She also wants to see the world and all the amazing things it has to offer. She loves cute and cuddly things and her favorite Pokemon is the only one she currently owns, Piplup.

History (Optional): Born and raised in Cerulean City, Cassie was always a rather quiet and shy child. She was shunned by the other children from a very young age, and that was fine by her; she was perfectly happy to spend most of her time with her favorite person in the world, her father Will. But when Cassie was eight, her father fell ill and ended up in the hospital. After a few months of struggling against illness, he passed away. Cassie, who had never been close to her mother, withdrew into herself, becoming even more reclusive than before. She found solace in reading her father's books about Pokemon, and studying them as he had done. She wanted to make him proud, and so when she finished her schooling, she decided to become a Pokemon trainer and see the world.

Cassie forced herself not to flinch when Declan put his hand on her shoulder, but instead raised her head and continued to smile. When he spoke, she shrugged, trying to pass it off as no big deal. She didn't lie to him, however, even if she did do her best to make it sound as though what she had to say wasn't of any real consequence.
"I did a lot of thinking last night before I fell asleep, and I realized that you're right. Dad would want me to be happy. Traveling with you, and making new Pokemon friends, is what makes me happy.. so I'm going to stick with you, and I'm going to find more Pokemon to make friends with. Maybe I'll go on to fight battles against the gym leaders, maybe I won't. But I'm going to try and be the best I can be.. partially for him, partially for myself.. and mostly because I don't want to disappoint you." She blushed again, and looked down at Piplup, her voice becoming a little quiet as she continued.
"I may not ever be important to anyone other than my Pokemon.. but that's okay. As long as I have them, and you, as my friends.. that's all I really need."

Physical Appearance: Six even with mid length red hair. Declan is a handsome man in his mid twenties. He has a narrow jaw, piercing eyes, and a disarming smirk.

Declan's smile broadened as Cassie spoke. He was no real expert on such things, but this change in attitude struck him as a healthy one. On a whim he turned the shoulder grasp into a hug. He was an enthusiastic hugger and promptly lifted the girl off her feet. He then says with a firmness that left no rebuke.
"I told you, you are important to me. Now lets go to Mount Moon and catch you another friend."
With that he sets her down and takes off. He doesn't wait to see if she is following him, he knows she is.

Cassie squeaked when Declan hugged her, then laughed as the hug became so enthusiastic that he lifted her off her feet, carefully shifting Piplup so the Pokemon wouldn't get squished between them. When he set her down, she looked up at him with flushed cheeks and a smile, nodding at his words.
"Okay. Let's go." Her smile faltered slightly when he turned away, and her heart twisted painfully. Shoring up her smile and squaring her shoulders, she followed him in silence, Piplup in her arms and Vulpix at her side. What she hadn't told him was that she'd come to another realization last night: She liked him as more than just a friend. But she would never admit it aloud. The rejection would be too painful. Once she caught up to him, she shot him a small smile, then looked back down at Piplup as the Pokemon napped in her arms. Who would they find on Mount Moon, she wondered?
