Declan walked into the city with his pupil/girlfriend Cassie. The trip from Viridian to Fuchsia had taken quite a while and he was glad to finally be back in civilization. He hadn't realized how used he had gotten to the easy life. He remembered when he started out and the walking and camping had been his favorite part of the journey, well next to the battles of course. He still enjoyed camping of course, but the extended periods of it didn't hold the same appeal. Probably because as a league champion, then gym leader, and now elite four member he had gotten used to having money and pokemon who could fly him everywhere. Still he figured it was a good experience for Cassie. She may have started out late, but that was no excuse not get to the full experience.
"Okay, I need to get something ready. Why don't you head to the safari zone to search for Dratini and I will catch up later."

Physical Appearance: At eighteen years old and an unimpressive 5'2", Cassie's stature matches her timid personality. Her hair is cut short, although it's slightly longer in front, and is a vivid light purple color. Cassie looked up at Declan curiously. What did he need to get ready..? Ah well, she was sure she'd find out soon enough. So she simply grinned up at Declan and nodded. "Okay." Stretching up onto her toes, she gave him a quick kiss, then turned and ran off toward the Safari Zone, a bounce in her step. She was having such a wonderful time traveling around with him, even though it was exhausting sometimes. The only thing that worried her was what would happen when she got her final Pokemon. What would become of them, then? Her happy expression didn't vanish, though, as she ran toward the preserve. She was optimistic, for once. They'd work it out. Somehow.

The three days between their arrival and their departure had been wonderful, with them exploring the town and the Safari Zone by day, and being pleasantly engaged by night. But it eventually had to come to an end, and that morning had been the end. Cassie had left the hotel a little early to pick up some more supplies, and had agreed to meet Declan near the tree in the center of town. She stood there now, adjusting her stuffed backpack while carefully cradling her Togepi egg. She looked around and waited for him, bouncing eagerly on her toes. They were going traveling again, and while camping wasn't something Cassie had ever thought she'd like, she'd come to love it.. being alone with Declan and her Pokemon out in the seclusion of nature was amazing. She looked happy, a smile on her face and her blue eyes lit up as she stuck a lollipop in her mouth and hummed. Where would they go, she wondered?

Declan showed up not too much later. Strolling into the main square from wherever he had gotten off to. When he spots Cassie he runs up and scoops her into his arms. He always seems so excited to see her whenever they have been apart for any length of time. Another way the man was like a big dog. The embrace turns into a kiss and then just when it might turn to more he stops himself. Perhaps Declan was learning. Setting Cassie down he smiles at her.
"Well let's get going. I am thinking we should head to Cinnabar. My sister lives there and there are strong pokemon in the area. It's a good place to train."

Cassie grinned the moment she spotted Declan, and giggled as he plucked her up off her feet, carefully adjusting the Togepi egg so it wouldn't get squished. She kissed him back, and just when things got heated enough that she was about to break away, he did it first. She looked up at him, surprised at first, and then she looked pleased. He was learning! Just to reward him for that, she gave him a quick peck on the lips, just before he set her on her feet. She listened as he spoke, and then nodded once, briskly, in agreement.
"Okay. That sounds--" Something occurred to her, and she stopped with a blink. His sister lived in Cinnabar..? Her eyes widened even as her cheeks flushed at the thought that had entered her head. Surely he hadn't considered this.. had he? ..She had to ask. "..Wait. Do.. do you.. want me to.. meet your sister..?"

"Yeah! You'll like Dakota she's super nice. Also once you get a bit better she'd make a good sparring partner."
Declan notes as he takes Cassie's hand in his. It doesn't occure to him that she might not be comfortable with meeting Dakota. Dakota was great, Cassie was awesome they would like each other. Besides it seemed to him that she should meet his sister. Maybe even his parents at some point. He didn't know why he thought she should only that he did. He begins walking out of Fuchsia and toward the road to Cinnabar. They would have to get a boat or fly once they made it to the beach. He only had one pokemon who could use surf and it wasn't large enough for them both to ride.

"Oh, um.. okay. I.. I'd love to meet her." Though she was hesitant, it was clear she meant the words. And they filled her with an odd reassurance. Declan wanted her to meet his sister.. surely that meant their relationship was pretty serious, right? Smiling happily, she laced her fingers with his as she took his hand, and followed him out of the city, still cradling the Togepi egg in her other arm. Things were.. honestly looking pretty great. She looked up at him, and her heart felt light.
