Mt. Moon

It took them a little more than four day to make it from Celadon to Mount Moon. In that time Declan had fluctuated a bit in his talking. Most of the time he was his normal self. Talking seemingly nonstop about whatever he felt inclined to talk about, usually battling. However, he also took to asking Cassie for conversation topics. He encouraged her to talk about things she wanted to talk about. When they got to the base of the mountain he lead her up the slope. Climbing it was nearly impossible, but you could get into forest fairly easily. It was here they would look for Pancham. It was early evening when they arrived though so he looked to her.

"We are going to have to camp out. I'll set up the tent if you wanna get a fire going."

Humming he ruffled around in a bag he had withdrawn from the PC back in cerulean. He went about setting up the two person tent.

"Nope, I only own one tent."

Declan says as he pulls out a camp stove. Humming he gets that lit and begins browning some beef. Once it is done he will add water, noodle, and a sauce mix. It was simple food plain, but tasty and all he could really make. He could cook many simple things, a necessity as a trainer, but complex things escaped him. This was much like how he was with emotions. Simple ones made sense to him, but complex ones, such as a girl not wanting to sleep in close proximity to her crush, escaped him. Although her reaction did provoke a response. It made him giggle since her voice went incredibly high pitched.

"Are you alright? Your voice went kind of squeaky."

Declan watched as Cassie sunk to her knees. He was on the verge of asking if she was alright when she saw the red. Of she was doing that thing she did. The one he didn't understand where she got all embarrassed for no reason. He turns his attention back to dinner and once it is done he fills two plates with noodle. He brings one over to Cassie and says chipperly.

"Well yeah, can't sleep outside in this weather. Too many bugs it would be terrible."

Once she takes her dinner he would return to his spot by the fire. He would dig in as he always does, with plenty of gusto and enjoyment.

Declan crawled into the tent not long after Cassie. He kicks off his boots and socks and then strips off his jacket and pants. Thus leaves him in a pair of boxers and a t-shirt. Thankfully he pulls on a pair of pajama bottoms from his bag. He crawls into his sleeping bag and his quickly falls asleep. His breathing evens out and it is not long after that he rolls over flinging out an arm. It hit Cassie and the man sleepily pulls her into a hug.

Declan is disinclined to release Cassie, even in his sleep. In fact when she struggled to get free he pulled her even closer. Declan seems just as soothed by holding Cassie as she is distressed. Indeed the older man was so comfortable holding the younger woman that he slept in. As dawn climbed over the horizon he continued to snore lightly. Unfortunately for Cassie there is a particular part of the male anatomy that wakes up in the morning even if its own is asleep. It was constrained, but she could probably feel something against the small of her back.

Declan came slowly awake as Cassie struggled to get away from him. By the time she had run away he was semi awake. Oh it was morning. He blinked and that explained why Cassie had to get out of the tent. She probably had to pee. It takes him a few minutes to drag himself out of bed and outside. When he is out he looks around and sees that Cassie isn't around. Huh, maybe more than pee? He pulls out his camp stove and begins making breakfast, which today is oatmeal with cinnamon and brown sugar.

"I slept great. I dreamed I was holding something warm and cuddly like a wigglytuff. It was a good dream."

Declan smile happily, he doesn't remember latching onto Cassie. But is seems he really enjoyed holding her. Humming he pours porridge into two bowls and hands one to her. Once they are finished he stands up and stretches.

"Right after he clean up we can go hunting for Pancham. They are pretty reclusive so we might be up here for a few days. Don't worry I brought plenty of food. There are some tough pokemon on this mountain, so I am going to send Ember with you. Use your own pokemon when you can, but if things get tough let him handle it."

With that out of the way, he helps Cassie clean up. Then he sets out to hunt down a Pancham. He tells her to set her pokenav to vibrate and to call him or he will call her when pancham is located.
