Physical Appearance: At eighteen years old and an unimpressive 5'2", Cassie's stature matches her timid personality. Her hair is cut short, although it's slightly longer in front, and is a vivid light purple color. She has delicately formed features that are often described as "cute", especially with that little nose (that turns upward ever so slightly at the end), that are set with a pair of pale blue eyes that sometimes appear lilac in certain lights. Her skin is quite pale despite how much time she spends outside, although she does keep most of her body covered with her attire, which is an odd blend of adorable, modest, and sexy. It consists of a black tank top under a long-sleeved shirt that hangs off of her shoulders, the body being white and the sleeves being a dark indigo, with a front pocket edged in pale blue; this shirt is long enough that it mostly covers her (admittedly short) green plaid skirt. This skirt reveals a few inches of pale thigh before the remainder of her legs are covered by a set of striped stockings in two shades of purple. Topping off the ensemble is a pair of plain white sneakers with black accents. She wears a golden oval locket around her neck which has a picture of her father, and a brown leather belt around her left thigh.

Personality: Shy and non-confrontational, Cassie doesn't often speak to others, and perpetually keeps a lollipop in her mouth to use as an excuse to avoid conversation. She likes to read and keep to herself and doesn't have any true friends. She's fascinated by Pokemon and likes to learn as much about them as she can, which is a large part of what drove her to become a Pokemon trainer. She also wants to see the world and all the amazing things it has to offer. She loves cute and cuddly things and her favorite Pokemon is the only one she currently owns, Piplup.

But when Cassie was eight, her father fell ill and ended up in the hospital. After a few months of struggling against illness, he passed away. Cassie, who had never been close to her mother, withdrew into herself, becoming even more reclusive than before. She found solace in reading her father's books about Pokemon, and studying them as he had done. She wanted to make him proud, and so when she finished her schooling, she decided to become a Pokemon trainer and see the world.

Cassie smiled faintly and shrugged when Declan said that great trainers had balanced teams. She didn't care a whole lot about being a great trainer.. she just wanted to have cute Pokemon.. maybe ones that could be her friends. She'd need them when Declan left, after all. Maybe she'd battle to get just enough money to buy some land out away from people and build a house on it, then live there, alone with her Pokemon, for the rest of her life. That sounded really appealing. What made her eyes widen and fly up to rest on Declan's face was his question. He'd never asked her that before. Was it just because her birthday, or because he felt bad about upsetting her, or..? She didn't know, and she didn't want to think about it. SO she just blurted the first thought that came into her head.
"What will you do after I've caught all the Pokemon you think I should have?" And how soon after that will you leave me? She cringed and ducked her head as she turned back to her cake in an unenthusiastic manner. Making herself eat it a bite at a time, she didn't stop until she was finished. Hopefully Declan wouldn't make her eat another piece.

Declan looks at Cassie confused. Was she not paying attention? He had told her he would take her on as a pupil, that didn't mean catching her a team and disappearing. Shrugging he returned to his cake finishing his second slice. It was a small cake and mostly gone now. He looks to Cassie and seeing she is full he motions for the waitress to take it away. He then leans back in his chair and stares at her. He seems to be studying her in silence another oddity for him.

Cassie hadn't thought his teaching would extend that far, although she probably should've expected the response. Declan didn't seem the type to leave something half-done, even if he was flighty and had a tendency to babble. Setting down her spoon and folding her hands in her lap, she fidgeted slightly. "And after that?" She realized that he was staring at her, mostly due to the uncomfortable itchy feeling she was getting in her spine, and looked up, her blue eyes peering at Declan hesitantly from behind the wayward tumble of her purple hair. "..Why are you looking at me like that?" She seemed to shrink into herself again, and couldn't keep meeting his eyes, so she dropped her gaze to the table once more.

"After that?"
Declan hadn't planned that far ahead. He frowns and thinks, trying to decide what he would do after she was trained. He supposed he could coach her through fighting the gym leaders. Eventually she could even challenge the elite 4... That reminded him he was supposed to be on call. He flips out his pokenav and checks for messages. None yet, that was good. Well he had it out he looks up at her and says.
"You should take my pokenav number. That would probably be good in case I get called away again. Easier than telling you to just wait somewhere."
Once he's given her his number and taken hers, he says thoughtfully.
"I am not sure what will happen after I finish training you. Oh and I was looking at you cause sometimes it seems like you are having fun, then you get sad. It kind of feels like you don't like me very much at other times. It's a bit odd."

He didn't answer her question. Cassie was both disappointed and relieved, but she didn't say anything. Not even when he suggested she take his number. Wordlessly, she withdrew her Pokenav from her shirt's pocket and silently put in his number. Then, rather than speaking, she simply sent a message to him so that he could have her number. Once that was done, she closed it and slid it back into her pocket, staring downward. She tensed when Declan spoke, and looked up at him again, her eyes wide and disbelieving. He thought..? How could he think..?
"..How can you think I don't like you? You're the only person I do like, not to mention the only person I really know, and I think I like you too much for my own good." She frowned and lowered her head, murmuring as she unclasped her hands so that she could cross her arms. "..That's why I get sad. I know you're going to go away and I'll be alone again." She was blushing vividly, knowing she shouldn't have admitted that, but it was so hard to lie to Declan.

Declan stared at Cassie confused. How could someone like someone else more that was good? That didn't make much sense to him. Tipping forward in his chair he drums his fingers on the table. That rest of what she said was equally confusing. So he did what he always did he said what he thought.
"Well I thought you didn't like me because sometimes you refuse to make eye contact. Also there was the whole running away over cake thing. You also try and shrink down and look like you are hiding. Anyway, yeah I will have to go away away some point I have a job, also a house somewhere. That doesn't mean we won't see each other again, that would be silly. You are my friend we will still hang out. I mean you couldn't possibly want to travel with me forever."

Cassie sighed. She really didn't want to explain all this out here in the open, although she figured Declan did deserve an explanation.. she was so awkward to be around, and she knew it. After a few moments, she raised her head and gave Declan a look that was more resigned than anything.
"..Declan, if you want an explanation, I'd be happy to give it. Just.. not here? Can we go back to the hostel? It's more private and I'd feel better talking somewhere less.. out in the open." Even if he said 'no', she was going back to the hostel anyway, and this was displayed by the fact that she pushed back her chair and stood. Her arms crossed over her stomach as she stood slightly hunched, as though she was trying very hard to be invisible.

Shrugging his shoulders Declan got and up and followed her, throwing a few wadded zeni on the table. He was still rather confused, but it was fading quickly. He wasn't one to dwell over much on things. He was now more curious than anything.

Her skin is quite pale despite how much time she spends outside, although she does keep most of her body covered with her attire, which is an odd blend of adorable, modest, and sexy. It consists of a black tank top under a long-sleeved shirt that hangs off of her shoulders, the body being white and the sleeves being a dark indigo, with a front pocket edged in pale blue; this shirt is long enough that it mostly covers her (admittedly short) green plaid skirt. This skirt reveals a few inches of pale thigh before the remainder of her legs are covered by a set of striped stockings in two shades of purple. Topping off the ensemble is a pair of plain white sneakers with black accents. She wears a golden oval locket around her neck which has a picture of her father, and a brown leather belt around her left thigh.

Skills: Cassie is a skilled singer, although usually too shy to sing where people can hear her. She can also ride a bike and rollerskate, preferring the latter to the former; she can often be seen skating around town, listening to music.

Personality: Shy and non-confrontational, Cassie doesn't often speak to others, and perpetually keeps a lollipop in her mouth to use as an excuse to avoid conversation. She likes to read and keep to herself and doesn't have any true friends. She's fascinated by Pokemon and likes to learn as much about them as she can, which is a large part of what drove her to become a Pokemon trainer. She also wants to see the world and all the amazing things it has to offer. She loves cute and cuddly things and her favorite Pokemon is the only one she currently owns, Piplup.

History (Optional): Born and raised in Cerulean City, Cassie was always a rather quiet and shy child. She was shunned by the other children from a very young age, and that was fine by her; she was perfectly happy to spend most of her time with her favorite person in the world, her father Will. But when Cassie was eight, her father fell ill and ended up in the hospital. After a few months of struggling against illness, he passed away. Cassie, who had never been close to her mother, withdrew into herself, becoming even more reclusive than before. She found solace in reading her father's books about Pokemon, and studying them as he had done. She wanted to make him proud, and so when she finished her schooling, she decided to become a Pokemon trainer and see the world.
