OoooOOOOOoooo~ This mansion used to belong to the original governor of Lavender town. He died long ago and the Mansion is boarded up and abandoned by humans. Ghost Pokemon have begun to inhabit the mansion like a hotel, run by a mean Banette. Any spooky guests are well taken care of by the Pokemon that run the hotel, they get a nice room and continental breakfast in the morning. Though the outside of the mansion looks disheveled and spooky, the inside is very clean. Barkley the Banette demands perfection from his servants to make sure his guests are pleased with their stay.

"Come again next time you're wandering around here and need a place to haunt!" Barkley the Banette had just finished seeing off a ghostly guest who had stayed a few nights in his hotel. He sparked up his cigar and took a few puffs. He turns around and sees some trash laying around, "Where the hell is that maid... MAID! MAID!"
The Banette floats upstairs and continues calling for the maid. "MAID!"

A Ralts wearing a maid outfit was busy cleaning the room of a guest that had just left using its psychic powers to levitate a feather duster to reach high places. After it was finished the Ralts hopped onto the bed and got out a little book.
"Dear Diary,
It's really rough work at this mansion, I'm the only maid here so I have to clean the entire place on my own. I'm very lonely... I'm not allowed to talk to the guests, and I can't go outside either because all the exits are barricaded. The boss is so mean to me... I can't keep up with all the work he needs me to do, I wish I had a friend... I don't know how much longer I can take being here."
The Ralts shuts the book and stashes it away when he hears Barkley calling for the maid. He lifts up his skirt and sticks the diary into a pocket on the inside of the Maid Outfit. He quickly runs out of the room. "Yes? I was just cleaning that Dusklops' room."

"Yo, Maid! There's a mess downstairs! Get down there and clean it up!" Barkley commanded the little psychic pokemon. He had found this kid a few months ago alone in the woods and decided to take him in. With the Ralts working as a maid, Barkley had been getting much better reviews from his guests. Barkley the Banette claps his hands together to get the Ralts moving, "C'mon, Chop-Chop!"

"Y-yes master! Right away!" The maid would run down the hall and downstairs to clean up the mess Barkley mentioned.
*sigh* I miss my mom...

Physical Appearance: He looks like a larger Sandshrew as he is fairly close to evolving into a Sandslash.
Skills: He is really good at rolling around in a ball. Even for a Sandshrew. He is a fairly decent cook as well
Personality: Sandshrew is a loyal friend, and an all around good Pokemon, actively seeking to help out those who may be in need. Sometimes this leads him towards helping those who don't need or even want the help.
History (Optional): Sandshrew knows the following moves:
Rollout, Magnitude, Fury Swipes, and Swift

The tough-looking Sandshrew made his way slowly up the pathway to the Haunted Hotel. He didn't believe in ghosts, not one bit, and he was gonna prove that dumb Geodude wrong. He was probably just mad that Sandshrew had the better spot in Rock Tunnel, and had tripped more trainers than he had. Rocks were so dumb.
But, just in case the rumors were true, he was completely on guard, slowly walking up one side of the path so he could roll into the bushes if necessary. He could just now see the Hotel ahead, and so far nothing spooky had happened. This was gonna be an easy bet to win.

On the outside the mansion looks very much abandoned. You wouldn't be able to see inside since the windows are all boarded up. Nothing was seen spooking around outside. As Sandshrew got closer he would start to feel a chill going down his back.

Why did he actually do this? He could have just said he went in and no one would be the wiser. They would probably demand some kind of proof though. Oh well.
He breathed in deep, and, ignoring the creepy chill down his back, knocked on the front door.

For a few moments there was silence. Nobody seemed to be coming to the door. As soon as Sandshrew felt like leaving though he'd get a jumpscare as Barkley's head phased through the door and he said, "Hey!"
After Sandshrew's reaction, if he was still around, Barkley would come all the way out and take a few puffs of his cigar and blow out smoke after savoring the taste. "Whattya want?"

The sudden appearance of the ghost pokemon would cause Sandshrew to give a startled yelp and leap into a ball, where he would remain for several seconds before slowly uncurling. A hint of red at his cheeks gave away his embarrassment.
"Er...er....umm, well I kinda came to see if the stories were true, and it turns out they were! Hehehehe, would you look at that...so uh, what is this place?"
He was still nervous, nobody trusted ghost Pokemon

"Heh? This is my hotel! It used to be the mansion of some human who was in charge of lavender town, but it's been abandoned for like a hundred years or something, so I just made it mine." Barkley carelessly flicked the butt of his cigar away into a dried up bush, which would eventually catch fire from the remaining embers inside the butt. Barkley was definitely a shady guy, but maybe that was just because he was a big creepy ragdoll ghost with a zipper for a mouth. The Banette eye the Pokemon in front of him and contemplated something, "Heyy, you looking for work?"

"A hotel? But those are human things! Why would you run...no don't put it in the bush, it will...catch on...fire."
A few kicks of dirt and the fire was out, but still Sandshrew was not getting a good vibe off of this guy.
"What kind of a job?"

"Ghost pokemon love empty buildings! This is prime real estate!" Barkley responded. "My hotel is understaffed for how many guests I have. I could use another pokemon to do some work around the place. I offer a place to sleep and meals every day. Why don't you come in and check the place out?"
Despite Barkley's invitation, the door was still barricaded.

The Sandshrew paused and scratched his nose with a singular claw. He was supposed to go inside, and what could it hurt? Nothing most likely. He was pretty sure this Banette was lying, but who could know for sure? Maybe he could get something to scare the piss out of Geodude!
"Alright Banette, I'll check out your hotel."

"Alright, follow me." Barkley turns and walks through the door, his braided yarn tail being the last thing visible from him. After a few moments he would realize Sandshrew couldn't follow him and he'd come back out halfway, "Sorry, here, take my hand."
The Banette offered his fabric-y claw for Sandshrew grab onto and when he did, Barkley would pull Sandshrew through the door as if it weren't there. The interior of the hotel was actually nice looking and mostly clean. A stark contrast to the exterior of the building.
"Welcome to Hotel Barkley! I'm Barkley. Barkley the Banette." Barkley introduced himself.
The foyer of the mansion acted as the hotel lobby. Sitting by the fireplace in a torn yet still cushy chair was one of the guests, a Haunter, reading an old magazine. Hovering its way upstairs was a Shuppet. Other ghostly guests would be throughout the place. The walls were adorned by some fancy paintings which some guests could enter to pretend to be part of.
